If the applicant is going to attend courses as a research student or auditor who is to study solely by auditing, the applicant must be enrolled as such based on some form of examination by the authorities of the educational institution concerned.And the applicant must attend that courses at least 10 hours a week.

If the applicant intends to take a specialized course at a technical college (except for Japanese only), the following requirements must be fulfilled:

The Applicant must have studied Japanese for at least 6 months at any of the Japanese language educational institutions designated by the Minister of Justice at the time of publication, and prove that. |
(b)
It is necessary for the relevant technical college to have a dedicated international student advisor who supports the foreign student's life in Japan. |

If the applicant want to study only Japanese in specialized courses at a technical college ,which must be one of the Japanese language institutions designated by the Minister of Justice.
